After the war in Ukraine began I embarked on my Quote Unquote project. I asked friends on Instagram to send me a quote that I could illustrate. I then created an image and sent them a print; in exchange they donated to the Red Cross appeal. This was such a joy for me, combining my love of words and letters and fonts with concepts. Every quote spoke to me in some way, provoking a little tingle about how I could do justice to the sentiment. I sent images as far as New Zealand, Australia and the US. Social media has its downsides for sure, but this was a wonderful collaboration, and it's ongoing, so more creations from the project will gradually be added here.
